Whether you want to pick up the tools, design and build it yourself, or learn everything you need to know to hire a reputable contractor, NWCC’s Deck Building 101 will bring your closer to your dream deck!

Basic Welding, Instructor: Kym Halstead
Learn to cut, shape and weld metal from certified journeyman welding instructors. Develop the skills required to complete projects from creating metal yard art, to equipment and household repair. You will be limited only by your imagination! Representatives from Maverick Welding Supply will be available to discuss your equipment needs, and provide discounts for welding supplies.

Discover how you can design a garden and your yard with sustainable principles—from site assessment, whole systems design, composting, water harvesting, permaculture, planting schemes, materials, structures, maintenance and more!

Interior/Exterior Painting, Instructor: Harold Rust
This class includes instructions for both interior and exterior painting including: paint selection, surface preparation, and application including brushing, rolling and spraying. Class will address ways to deal with special conditions including but not limited to dry rot/decay, lead-based paints, and matching colors. Class will also address hiring contractors and painting technique.
