Road Map to Increased Profitability

Friday, April 23 & 30, 7:00-9:00 AM

Turn your strategic vision into bottom-line results! Most companies have a sense of where they are going, but haven’t defined a clear path of how to get there. This gap between defining a strategic plan and executing it translates into poor allocation of resources, inefficiencies, unclear expectations and missed opportunities. This program, designed for construction executives, will help make your strategic plan a living document – tied to realistic, action-oriented strategies that will align your team to move the company forward. This highly interactive seminar will give you clarity about your objectives, help you identify and prioritize key strategies and put together a timeframe for execution. Please register early – participants will receive a pre-seminar worksheet to complete before the seminar to maximize the program benefits.

Risk and Claim Management

Friday, May 7, 14 & 21, 7:00-9:00 AM

This seminar is designed for small to mid-sized contractors interested in developing and improving profit margins through better risk and project management systems. The program consists of an initial class focusing on risk recognition and contract terms that shift risk. This class forms the foundation for the two following units on managing and documenting changes and claims. Last hour includes a group "test" (intended to highlight skills learned).

Green Building 101

Friday, June 4 & 11, 7:00-9:00 AM

This seminar is designed as an introduction to green building for contractors. With a primary focus on residential construction (with some commercial examples), basic principles will cover the environmental impacts of buildings, site selection, water efficiency, energy efficiency, material selection, waste prevention, indoor air quality, green building rating systems, and financial incentives. This seminar will include class discussion, handouts with additional resources, and guest speakers.
