Manual J Test Preparation

This ACCA program will introduce the student to the ACCA Manual J heating/cooling load calculation process. The Manual J is the industry standard for heating and cooling load calculations and as the consumer becomes more and more educated, will not only be a huge asset in eliminating competition, but will help both the person doing the calculation and the end-user see the additional options in energy conservation, demand-analysis, and “comfort heating and cooling”. The student will be taught the very basics of calculating the heating and cooling demand of the home room by room, up to the advanced evaluation of insulation values, R values, U values, directional exposures, degree-days and so on. This is a preparation-class for the ACCA Manual J test, and is a precursor to the ACCA Manual S program where the loads from Manual J are used in selection of the properly sized equipment.
